QUIT CLAIM DEED
THIS INDENTURE, made the % ? day of December, 2018, by the WEST COAST
INLAND NAVIGATION DISTRICT, a Multi -County Independent Special Tax District of the
State of Florida ("WCIND"), whose address is 200 E. Miami Avenue, Venice, Florida, 34285,
Grantor, and CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, a municipal corporation organized and
existing under the laws of the State of Florida (the "City"), whose address is 112 S. Osceola
Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33756, Grantee.
(Whenever used herein, the terms "Grantor" and "Grantee" include their respective heirs, legal
representatives, successors, and assigns where the context requires or permits)
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, in 1947, the Florida Legislature created WCIND, a special tax district
composed of Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties under
Chapter 23770, Laws of Florida, for the purpose of acting as the local interest sponsor for the
Intracoastal Waterway project authorized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and
WHEREAS, on or about 1961, WCIND acquired the lands hereinafter described from
the City for the construction and maintenance of the Intracoastal Waterway within Pinellas
County; and
WHEREAS, on or about 1977, Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties withdrew from
WCIND and the Florida Legislature subsequently reduced WCIND's jurisdiction to its current
four -county membership under Chapter 79-435, Laws of Florida; and
WHEREAS, said lands are now outside of WCIND's jurisdiction and no longer required
for its legislative purpose, and by unanimous vote on August 17, 2018, the WCIND Board of
Commissioners agreed to quit claim said lands to the City; and
WHEREAS, that Grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars and no
00/100 ($10.00), and other good and valuable consideration, in hand paid by Grantee, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, does hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto Grantee

forever, all the right, title, interest, claim and demand which Grantor has in and to the following
described land, situate, lying and being in Pinellas County, State of Florida, to wit:

SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE PART HEREOF
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same together with all and singular the appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, and all the estate, right, title, interest, lien, equity
and claim whatsoever of Grantor, either in law or in equity, to the only proper use, benefit and
behoof of Grantee forever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Grantor, WEST COAST INLAND NAVIGATION
DISTRICT, a Multi -County Independent Special Tax District of the State of Florida, being vested
with all the powers of body corporate, has caused these presents to be executed in its name by its
Executive Director, and the official seal of such district to be hereunto affixed, the date and year
written above.
