Dear Mr. Sanders:
It was a pleasure meeting you and Ms. Jones when you visited Clearwater City Hall to inquire
about spaces at the Clearwater Municipal Cemetery.
You provided us a copy of a letter dated December 30, 1965 addressed to the City Clerk at that
time, Mr. R. G. Whitehead, from a Major Warren H. Fulton. Major Fulton stated in his letter
there were 5 spaces owned by Roy Cone in the Municipal Cemetery and that 2 of those spaces
were occupied (in 1965 when the letter was written) which left 3 remaining spaces for use by
family.
The City of Clearwater was not responsible for the cemetery until sometime in the 1950's. The
records that we have regarding Block #5, Lot 25 show that Roy Cone was the owner of 4
spaces, not 5 as the letter from Major Fulton states. They are now occupied as follows:
