A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, REGARDING iJTILITY JOINT PROJECT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLEAR.WATER
AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION; AUTHORIZING TI� EXECUTIOAT
OF AGREEMENTS FOR INSTALLA3'ION AND
ACCEPTANCE OF NEW CITY FACILITTES; AND
AUTHORIZINCr THE PLACING OF FUNDS WITH TI�E
STATE OF FLORIDA DEPl�RT1VIENT OF
'�RANSPORTATIQN FOR THE COMPLETION OF
UiILITY INSTALI,ATION.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Depaztment oi Tsansportation is constructing,
reconstructing oP otherwise changing a portion of the State Highway System, namely, State
Road 54 between Madison Avenu� and Rowan Road, wl�ich shall call for Fhe installation of
new CITY gas facilities over and/or undersaict hi�hway; and
WT�REF��, the Ca�y requires a additionaS gas capacity in certain loca�ions wiihira
the cans9ruction linuts of this �roject, and
�i1IIEREA�, tl�e City has heretofore authorized that plans and specifications b�
prepared for the inst�lation �f said new City facilities over andlor under said higinway;
and
1�hYEREAS, the plans and sgecifications have been prepazed and approved by the
�iEy �`ras System; such plans and specifications to 1ae made a part of the Department's
hi�x�rray corastng�tion coniaact, n�w therefore,

C3F THE CITY OF Ci.EARWl1.TER, FLORIDA:
Sectio,�L,, "iiat the City of Clearwater enters into a Joint Project Agreernent with
the �tate of Florida Depaxtment of Transportation for installation by the Department of said
new Ci�� facilities designated as Utility Job 6523,. Section 1�}570, Parcel N/A, R/W Job N/A,
and that ths �ity assum� atl costs incurred in the respective udlity instaldations, which costs
aee �.sliir,ated lo b� �197,355.25.
�ection ?, That the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to enter into such
agreements with tkse State of Florida Department of Transportation for the insfallation and
at,�eptance of svsi ne4v City facilities, and that the City Manager be hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver to the State of Florida Deparirnent of Transportation a Utilit3�

Agreement for the adjustment, change or relocation of certain utility facilities within the limits
of said State Road 54.
�ctlSxi 3• That the estimated costs of such utility installations as set forth above
be paid in advance to the State of Florida Department of Transportation in accordance with
