A RESOLUTION O� fiHE GI'TY OF CLF�4�tWATER, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING THE FLORIDA DIVISION OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO TO ISSUE A SPECIAL UCENSE
FOR ALCOHOL CONSiJMPTION ON-PREMISES ONLY TO THE
HARBARVIEW CENTER, AND REQUESTING TRANSFER OF
SAID LICENSE TO THE FACILITIES CATERER; RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 96-18; PROVIDiNG AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the ability to serve aicoholic beverages is an important aspect of providing a
full-service facility for the users of the Harborview Center; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statutes 561.20(2)(h) provides for the issuance of a special alcohol
beverage license for government-owned civic centers; and
WNEREAS, Harborview Center is a convention/civic center owned of the City of
Clearwater and managed by Globe Facilities Services, Inc. (GFS); and,
WHEREAS, fhe Bostan Concession Group (BCG) is the caterer for Harborview Center
pursuant to an agreement between GFS, the City and BCG; and
WHEI�EAS, the City of Clearnrater wishes to have the alcohol beverage license
transferred to BCG; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater wishes fio rescind Resolution 96-18; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED 8Y THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLOR! DA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater hereby requests the Florida Division of Alcoholic
Beverages to issue a special license pursuant to the application of the City to be filed with the
Qivisian.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater requ�sts a transfer of said license to Boston
Cnncession Group, the caterer for Harborview Center.
Sectip.C� 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign all
necessary as�d appropriate documents on behalf of the City to complete the application and
fcansf�r application and implement this resolution.
Section 4. Resolution 96-18 is hereby rescinded.
�ection 5. This resolution is effective immediately upon adoption.
