F�ORIDA, REQUESTING TFiE FLORIDA DIVISION OF
ALCOHOUC BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO i0 ISSUE A
Sf�ECIAL LICENSE FOR ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION ON-
Y�. PR�M{SES ONLY TO THE HARBORVIEW CENTER;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the ability to serve alcoholic beverages is an important aspect of
providing a full-service facility for the users of the Harborview Center; and
WNEREAS, Florida Statutes 561.20(2)(h) provides for the issuance of a special
alcohoi beverage license for government-owned civic centers; and
WHEREAS, Harboruiew Center is a convention/civic center owned of the City of
Clearwater and managed by Globe Facilities Services, Inc. (GFS); and,
NCiW, THEREFORE, B� IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMIS�ION OF THE CITY
OF CLEARiNATER:
Section 1. The Ciry of Clearwater hereby requests the Florida Division of
Alcoholic �everages to issue a special license pursuant to the application of the City to
be filed wiih the C2ivision.
�ection 2.. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign all
necessary and appropriate documents on behalf of the City to complete the application
and implement this resolution.
Section 3. This resolution is ef�ecti�e immediately upon adoption.
