R�SOLUTION NO. 97-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, ASSFSSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN GREENWOOD PARK, BLK C, CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, HAVING A POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 1107
CARLTON STREET, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS
DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2355.d0 FOR THE COSTS OF DEMOLTTION
INCURRED IN REMOVIIJG A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE,
WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF OWNER.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 47 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the
Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property describe� herein
and the building situated ther�n were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and
dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did nc,t
prop�rly comply with the requirements of said Cocie, and found that an emergency existed which,
in his opinion, involved danger to human life and health, and ordered the demoli6on of the
building; and
WI�REt�S, the City of Clearwater has caused the demolition of the building, and the cost
of sach work should now be assesserl as a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the
properly; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOL�ED BY TI� CTTY COMMISSION OF TI-� CITY OF
CLEARWATER, PLORIDA:

and the City of Clearvvater having now completerl said work, the City Commission does hereby
assess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary
costs incurred as follows:

Section 2. As soon as practicable, a Certificate of Indebtedness against the property for the
amount of assessment shall be pregarecl, which certificate shall constitute a lien prior to all other
liens except the lien for taxes. Said cerkificate, when issuecl, shall be payable to the City with
interest at a rate of eight percent (8%) per annum.
Secdon 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepaze a No6ce of Lien in the amount of
the ass�ssment against said progerty, and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas
County, Florida.
