A RESOLUTION OF 'IT� CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN
CAROLINA TERRACE ANNEX, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
HAVING A P4ST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 1578 S: WASHINGTON
[�i.VENUE, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED MORE
PAi�TiCULAIZLY HEREIN, IN THE AMOUNT OF $553.00 FOR
TfiE CUSTS INCURRED BY THE CITY ORDERIl�TG THE
OWNER TO DEMOLISH A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE.
WI3EEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 47 of tl�e Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the Standard
Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein and the
build'mg situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitacy, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and
detrimental to the health, safery, and general welfa�•e of the community, and did not comply with the
requirements of said Code before expenses were incurred; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearvaater and the owner have caused the demolition of the unsafe
building, and the City's costs of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the Ciry of
Clearwater against the property; now, therefore,

CLEAR:WATER, FLORIDA:
�ection 1. The Building O�cial having ordered the demolition of the unsafe building situated
on the following described property;
Lot 35, Carolina Terrace Annex
(Parcel Number 22/29/1 S/13680/000/0350}.

and the City of Cleaiwater having now completed said work, the City Commission daes hereby assess
and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary costs
incurred as follows:
TOTAL DEMOLITION COSTS $553.00
(See Aitachment "A")
Section 2. As soon as practica.ble, a Certificate of Indebtedness against the property for the
amounti of assessment shall be prepared, which certificate shall constitute a lien prior to all other liens
except the lien for taxes. Said cet�tificate, when issued, shall be payab(e to the City with interest at a
rate of eight percent (S%) per annum.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien in the amount of the
assessment against said pr�perty, and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas County,
�lorida.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediateIy upon adoption.
