A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, REGARDING UTILITY JOINT FROJECT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF AGREEMENTS FOR INSTALLATION AND
ACCEPTANCE OF NEW CITY FACILITIES; AND
AUTHQRIZING THE PLACING OF FUNDS WITH THE
STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION FOR THE COP:�?'LETION OF
U'TILITY INSTALLATION.

WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Transp�rtation is constructing,
reconstxucting or otherwise changing a portion af the State Highway System, namely, State
Road 586 between 69th Street and State Road 5$4, which shall catt for Yhe installation of new
CITY �as facilities over and/or undersaid highway; and

WHEREAS, the City requires a additional gas capacity in certain locations within
the construction limits of tlus project, and
WHEREAS, the Ciry has heretofore authorized fliat plans and specifications be
prepared for the installation of said new City facilities over and/or under said highway;
and
WI-�EREAS, the plans and specif cations have been prepared and approved by the
City Gas System; such plans and specifications to be made a part of the Department's
highway consYruction contract; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEA.RWAT�R, FLORIDA:
;�ectio��, That the City of CIearwater enters into a Joint Project Agreement with
the State of Florida Departnient of Transportation for installation by the Department of said
new City facilities designated as Utility Job 6540,. Section 15009, Parcel 1, R/W Job N/A,
and that the CiCy assume all costs incurred in the respective utility installations, wluch aosts
are estimated to be $637,026.10.
Sectiot�.�, That the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to enter into such
agrsements with the State of Florida Depariment of Transportation for the installation and
� acceptance of said new City facilities, and thaf the City Manager be hereby authorized and
directed to execute and deliver to the State of Florida Deparlment of Transportation a Utility

Agreement for the adjustment, change or relocation of certain utility facilities within the limits
�'; of said State Road 586.
�:�on 3• That the estimated costs of such utility installations as set forth above
be paid in advance to the State of Florida Department of Transportation in accordance with
such utility installation agreement.
