A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, COMMENDING THE CLEARWATER RAPID
TRANSIT TASK FORCE; DISSOLVING THE CLEARWATER
RAPID TRANSIT TASK FORCE; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission established the Clearwater Rapid Transit Task
Force to promote the construction of high -speed rail to the City of Clearwater using the
Courtney - Campbell Causeway; and
WHEREAS, the Task Force approached its tasks with enthusiasm, dedication and
diligence; and
WHEREAS, the Task Force has completed the tasks assigned it by the
Commission; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission commends the Task Force for its diligent
efforts in pursuing, promoting, and lobbying the high -speed rail connection to Clearwater.
Further, the Commission appreciates the commitment demonstrated by each Task Force
Member to the improvement, advancement and promotion of Clearwater, Florida.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby dissolves the Clearwater Rapid Transit
Task Force since the Task Force has completed its tasks.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June _'1995.
