95-20RESOLUTION NO. 95 -20 t, .� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN Duncan's A. H. Resub, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, HAVING A POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 1451 Madison Avenue South, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,188.00 FOR THE COSTS INCURRED BY THE CITY ORDERING THE OWNER TO ABATE A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 47 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein and the building situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not comply with the requirements of said Code before expenses were .incurred; and WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater and the owner have caused the abatement of the unsafe building, and the City's costs of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Building Official having ordered the abatement of the unsafe building situated on the following described property: Duncan's A. H. Resub, N 44' of W 125' of Lot 11 Less St (Parcel Number 22/29/15/229681000 /0113). Owner of record: Joyce Graham 1145 Wildwood Street Clearwater, FL 34616 -2252 9s- ) o and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work, the City Commission does hereby assess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary costs incurred as follows: TOTAL DEMOLUION COSTS $2,188.00 (See Attachment "A") Section 2. As soon as practicable, a Certificate of Indebtedness against the property for the amount of assessment shall be prepared, which certificate shall constitute a lien prior to all other liens except the lien for taxes. Said certificate, when issued, shall be payable to the City in not exceeding ten (10) equal annual installments with interest at a rate not greater than eight percent (8 %) per annum. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien in the amount of the assessment against said property, and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida. This property was demolished with a Wavier of Notice and Hearing, but with completion by the owner. As a result, only partial costs were incurred by the City.
