A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FROM JANUARY 1, 1995 TO MARCH 16,
1995, FOR THE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE EQUITY STUDY
COMMISSION TO PRESENT A WRITTEN REPORT TO THE CITY
COMMISSION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 94 -11 on June 2, 1994
which established the Equity Study Commission to study the City of Clearwater's
occupational license tax classification system and rate structure;
WHEREAS, Section 2, Subsection (7) of Resolution No. 94 -11, reads, "Not
later than January 1, 1995, Study Commission shall present to the City Commission
a written report embodying a classification system and an occupational license
tax rate schedule for consideration by the City Commission "; and
WHEREAS, the Occupational License Equity Study Commission, during their
meeting on October 26, 1994, determined the need for additional time for the
report, and recommended the deadline be extended to March 16, 1995; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby recognizes the need by the
Occupational License Equity Study Commission for additional time to prepare a
written report embodying a classification system and an occupational license tax
rate schedule for consideration by the City Commission, as set forth in
Resolution No. 94 -11.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater hereby approves the Occupational License
Equity Study Commission's recommendation to extend the deadline to March 16, 1995
to present to the City Commission the report on the occupational license tax
structure.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
