94-102RESOLUTION NO. 94 -102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN C. E. JACKSON'S SUBDIVISION, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, RAVING A POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 1306 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN THE AMOUNT OF $198.69 FOR THE COSTS INCURRED BY THE CITY ORDERING THE OWNER TO ABATE A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE. WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 47 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein and the building situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not comply with the requirements of said Code before expenses were incurred; and WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater and the owner have caused the abatement of the unsafe building, and the City's costs of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMP✓IISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Building Official having ordered the abatement of the unsafe building situated on the following described property: C. E. Jackson's Subdivision, Block 2, S 50 ft of Lots 9 and 10 (Parcel Number 10/29115/43596/002 /0090). Owner of record: James E. Stanley and Orminor F. Stanley 1948 Soule Road Clearwater, Florida 34619 -1507 and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work, the City Commission does hereby assess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary costs incurred as follows: TOTAL DEMOLITION COSTS (See Attachment "A ") $198.69 Section 2. As soon as practicable, a Certificate of Indebtedness against the property for the amount of assessment shall be prepared, which certificate shall constitute alien prior to all other liens except the lien for taxes. Said certificate, when issued, shall be payable to the City in not exceeding ten (10) equal annual installments with interest at a rate not greater than eight percent (8 %) per annum. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of Lien in the amount of the assessment against said property, and to record the same in the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
