A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, NAMING CITY
PROPERTY SHOWN AS "PARK" ON THE PLAZA PARK
PLAT AS "LAMAR O'BYRON FORD MEMORIAL PARK,"
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of two parcels of real
property located on Pennsylvania Avenue, between Plaza and Jones
Streets which are used as a mini -park with playground equipment for
young children; and
WHEREAS, the Northwood Greenwood Association, Inc. has
requested that said property be named the "Lamar O °Byron Ford
Memorial Park" and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board has recommended
that the site be named the "Lamar O'Byron Ford Memorial Park," and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to formally name
this site in accordance with the criteria established in Resolution
No. 80 - 82; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COIMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. In accordance with the criteria previously
established, the property shown as "Park" on the Plaza Park plat
is hereby named the "Lamar O'Byron Ford Memorial Park."
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon adoption.
