A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND TRANSMIT THE OFFICIAL
RESPONSE TO THE "NOTIFICATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACTION
ON PINELLAS PLANNING COUNCIL'S ALTERNATIVE RECOMMENDATION
FOR COUNTYWIDE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN AMENDMENT" AS
REQUIRED BY THE RULES CONCERNING THE ADMINISTRATION OF
THE COUNTYWIDE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has adopted Ordinance No.
5315 -92 changing the City Land Use Designation for certain real
property located on the west side of Druid Road, near the
intersection of Druid Road and Jeffords Street, whose post office
address is 1234 Druid Road, from Commercial /Tourist Facilities to
Public /Semi - Public; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has transmitted this adopted
Ordinance to the Pinellas Planning Council for consideration as an
amendment to the Countywide Future Land Use Plan pursuant to state
law; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas Planning Council has considered the
City's request to amend the Countywide Future Land Use Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas Planning Council has denied the City's
request to amend the Countywide Future Land Use Plan, and has
proposed an alternative Countywide Future Land Use Plan designation
to the City of Clearwater for consideration; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Clearwater, in reviewing the Pinellas
Planning Council action on the requested Countywide Future Land Use
Plan change, hereby finds that the City's position concerning the
appropriate Land Use Designation is unchanged from the Commission's
original decision to classify the property as Public /Semi- Public.
Section 2. The City of Clearwater hereby authorize?s the City
Manager to execute and transmit to the Pinellas Planning Council
the form attached to this resolution as Exhibit A reflecting the
finding in Section 1 above.
'Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.

NOTIFICATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACTION ON
PINELLAS PLANNING COUNCIL'S
ALTERNATIVE RECOMMENDATION FOR
COUNTYWIDE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN AMENDMENT
On April 21 1993, the Pinellas Planning Council took action on Case #CW 93 -9 in
consideration of an amendment to the Countywide Future Land Use Plan and
recommended approval of an alternative compromise amendment to the
Residential /Office General category for the subject property.
The city of Clearwater hereby officially acknowledges that it has:

Rejected
the Council's alternative recommendation as to Case #CW 93 -9 (City's file #LUP 92 -22).
This official acknowledgement by the city of Clearwater is pursuant to the following action
of the City Commission, a copy of which is attached hereto:
