A RESOLUTION APPROVING TRANSMISSION TO THE PINELLAS
COUNTY PLANNING COUNCIL OF AN APPLICATION TO AMEND THE
COUNTYWIDE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE
CITY'S FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT AMENDMENTS AS PROPOSED BY
ORDINANCE NUMBERS 5297 -92, 5298 -92, 5299 -92, 5300 -92, AND
5302 -92 OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER.
WHEREAS, on February 4, 1993, the City of Clearwater has held
the requisite public hearing in consideration of a request to amend
the Countywide Future Land Use Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has determined to request the
amendments of the Countywide Future Land Use Plan as identified in
Ordinance Numbers 5297 -92, 5298 -92, 5299 -92, 5300 -92, and 5302 -92;
and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 1993, the City Commission of the City
of Clearwater has considered at public hearing and passed Ordinance
Numbers 5297 -92, 5298 -92, 5299 -92, 5300 -92, and 5302 -92 on first
reading, tentatively approving the corresponding City of Clearwater
Future Land Use Element amendments for those parcels described in
the ordinances; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Director of Planning and Development is hereby
authorized to transmit to the Pinellas Planning Council an
application to amend the Countywide Future Land Use Plan as
required to maintain consistency between the City and Countywide
Plans for those proposed changes to the City's Future Land Use
Element contained in Ordinance Numbers 5297 -92, 5298 -92, 5299 -92,
5300 -92, and 5302 -92.
Section 2 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
