A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING CITY
OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE, BY HAND OR BY FACSIMILE
SIGNATURE, ALL CHECKS DRAWN BY THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER ON CITY OF CLEARWATER ACCOUNTS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to officially designate
and authorize certain City officials to sign all checks drawn by
the City on any account of any fund operated by the City in any
bank where such account or accounts are maintained, either by hand
or by use of mechanical check - signing equipment;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That all checks, drafts, notes or other orders
drawn against City of Clearwater accounts normally shall be signed
by the facsimile signature of both the following:
Michael J. Wright City Manager
Daniel J. Deignan Assistant Director Administrative Services
Finance Director
whose facsimile signatures shall be duly certified to said Banks.
If for any reason, manual signatures may be required from time to
time, all checks, drafts, notes, or orders drawn against said Banks
shall be signed manually by Michael J. Wright, City Manager, or by
one of the following when designated as Acting City Manager:
Kathy S. Rice Deputy City Manager
Elizabeth Deptula Assistant City Manager

and by one of the following:
Jeffrey E. Harper Director of Administrative Services
Daniel J. Deignan Assistant Director Administrative Services
Finance Director
Margaret L. Simmons Assistant Finance Director
whose signatures shall be duly certified to said Bank. No check
draft, note, or order drawn against said Bank shall be valid unless
so signed.
Section 2. A certified copy of this resolution shall be
forwarded forthwith to the various banks where accounts of the City
are maintained, and said copy shall be the authorization of the
City to such banks to accept checks bearing the two actual
signatures or the two facsimile signatures as listed in Section 1.
section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
