A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING RESOLUTION 85 -82 TO CHANGE THE LOCATION FOR THE
DISCHARGE OF LIQUID WASTES FROM THE MARSHALL STREET
PLANT TO THE NORTHEAST WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved certain procedures and regulations
for transported liquid waste discharges by the adoption of Resolution 85 -82 on
October 3, 1985, and it has become necessary to change the discharging location
as provided herein; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section IIID of the Transported Liquid Waste Discharges
Procedures and Regulations, attached to and approved by Resolution 85 -82, is
amended as follows:
III. DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS
D. Location and Time:
Acceptable transported liquid wastes shall be discharged at the Northeast
Wastewater Treatment Plant 3290 State Road 580 Marsha -1-st W^-Ae,•, + Treatment
Plant, Marshall St. and Hark.," .gee, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 5:00
P.M., Monday thru Friday. Discharges may be permitted during other hours and on
weekends, however, for security reasons plant personnel must be notified in
advance and transporters will be given approval and a time for the discharge.
The exact location of the discharge point within the plant will be specified.
At no time will discharge be allowed until operator on duty at the plant site has
verified the manifest. The operator will oversee the discharge and take the
required sample for laboratory analysis.
It is unlawful to dump, dispose, unload, leak or otherwise discharge liquid waste
at any site in Clearwater without proper approval of the Water Pollution Control
Division Superintendent (Chapter 53, Clearwater City Code). When issued, a
letter of authorization (Section III, A.) constitutes proper approval only for
the Northeast Marshall St. Wastewater Treatment Plant location.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
