A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE PINELLAS COUNTY METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION

AGREEING REQUIREMENTS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 339.175, Florida Statutes, requires the Governor to review
the composition of metropolitan planning organization board membership at least
every five years, and the Governor has requested that each existing metropolitan
planning organization submit a membership apportionment plan by July 1, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the Pinellas County Metropolitan Planning Organization has
proposed a membership apportionment plan which provides for a rotating member-to
represent the cities of Tarpon Springs, Safety Harbor and Oldsmar, and for the
appointment of a transit authority member to the board, bringing the voting
membership to eleven; and
WHEREAS, the proposed plan recognizes that significant growth is occurring
Oldsmar, and would
in the areas in and around Tarpon Springs, Safety Harbor and
allow for the addition of a rotating member from those cities without requiring
the addition of another county commissioner to the board; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:

Section 2• This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption•
