92-5RESOLUTION NO. 92 -5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, ASSESSING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE AVONDALE SUBDIVISION, HAVING A POST OFFICE ADDRESS OF 901 - 903 BECKETT STREET, CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, AS DESCRIBED MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,490.00 FOR THE COSTS OF DEMOLITION INCURRED IN REMOVING A DANGEROUS STRUCTURE, WITH THE CONSENT OF THE OWNER. WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 138 of the Clearwater Code of Ordinances and the Standard Building Code, the Building Official determined that certain real property described herein and the buildings situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, and dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, and general welfare of the community, and did not properly comply with the requirements of said Code, and found that an emergency existed which, in his opinion, involved imminent danger to human life and health, and ordered the demolition of the building; and WHEREAS, the owner of the property signed a Waiver of Notice and Hearing, requesting -the City of Clearwater to demolish such structure and for the City of Clearwater to file a lien against the property for the cost of demolition; and WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has caused the demolition of the building, and the cost of such work should now be assessed as a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Building Official having ordered the demolition of the building situated on the following described property: Lot 1, Block G, plus a four foot (4') M.O.L. strip on West, Avondale Subdivision, according to the plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 7, Page 40 of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida (also known as 901 - 903 Beckett Street, Clearwater, Florida). Owners of record: Philip R. Joseph and Teretha H. Pugh 17637 Sandlake Avenue Carson, California 90746 and the City of Clearwater having now completed said work, the City Commission does hereby assess and charge a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwater against the property for the necessary costs incurred as follows: Demolition Cost $1,490.00 `� � S r, Section 2.
