RESOLUTION NO. 91 -48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO ESTABLISH BANK
ACCOUNTS AS NECESSARY TO ADMINISTER THE EMPLOYEES'
HEALTH INSURANCE CONTRACT WITH CIGNA HEALTHPLAN OF
FLORIDA; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 27, 1991, the City Commission approved a medical
insurance contract for the employees of the City of Clearwater with CIGNA
Healthplan of Florida under a minimum premium funding arrangement for the period
January 1, 1992, through December 31, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the contract requires the City of Clearwater to establish an
"imprest" account at CIGNA's bank; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Finance Director of the City of Clearwater is hereby
authorized to establish on behalf of the City of Clearwater an " imprest" account
at Citibank as outlined in the CIGNA Healthplan of Florida contract.
Section_ 2. A certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded
forthwith to Citibank, and said copy shall be the authorization of the City to
accept the Finance Director's directives in opening this account.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
