AN ORDINANCE OF. THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE LAND DEVELOPMENT
CODE; AMENDING SECTION 35.11, CODE OF
ORDINANCES, TO REVISE THE DEFINITION FOR
VARIANCE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Srtion 1. Section 35.11, Code of Ordinances, is amended to read:
Sec. 36.11. Definitions.
The following words, terms, and phrases, when used in this development code,
shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly
indicates a different meaning:
Variance means a grant of relief from the requirements sentaifled -ire of this
development code based upon demonstrated compliance with the established standards

consistent with the City of Clearwater Comprehensive Plan.
9gQtjgaj. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
