Due to the Holidays of '97 and my husband's illness in January and February
of this year, I have not been able to answer your letter of November 3,1987.
Since I can not be named owner of the remaining spaces in Block One (1), Lot
Fourteen (14), spaces 1,2, 3,4, and 12, I would like interment rights assigned
to me in space One (1), my husband Max Carl Thornton in space Two (2) and
my eldest son Max Carl Thornton, Jr. in space Three (3).
At this time I'm enclosing copies of our Wedding Certificate and son's Baptism
Certificate in order that the family relationships will be on fIle.
Also enclosed in completed affidavit.

Dear Mrs. Thornton,
I received your letter regarding the cemetery property, described as Block One
(1), Lot Fourteen (14), Spaces Nine and Ten (9 & 10), m which your grandparents,
James R. and Susanna Blount are buried and the remaining unused spaces I, 2, 3, 4,
and 12 in the same lot.
Since we have no deed for the Blount family in our files, we don't truly know
who owns this lot. We made an assumption of ownership due to the penciled note
across the top of the sheet in the Lot Book "Owner S Ih Blount"; however, we don't
know where that came from. The ownership records shown on the computer printout
indicate James Blount is owner *1* of spaces 1,2,3,4,9,10, and 12 of this lot;
however, that is information was entered based on the same assumption. We cannot
name you as current owner of the remaining spaces. We can only grant you right of
interment in whichever space you indicate you want to use. Heirs will be granted
interment rights on an "as needed" basis. Their relationship to you would have to be
proved at the time of their interment..
You have established the family relationships through the documentation you
submitted; however, you will need to complete the enclosed affidavit. In addition,
please have two (2) witnesses and a notary complete their portions as indicated and
return to me.

Dear Mrs. Stephenson:
This past summer, my husband and myself were in your office
regarding Lots registered in the name of James R.Blount. ' I am
the Granddaughter and sole survivor of this family. When in
your office we spoke with Camille Motley.
Enclosed is a copy of the Genealogical Memoir of the Roulhac
family showing that James R. Blount's second wife was Susanna
E. Key. James died October 24, 1901. Susanna died October 1,
1895.
James is buried in space 110, si Lot 14 Blk 1. Susanna is
buried in space 19, si Lot 14 Blk 1. The unknown in space #11,
si Lot 14 Blk 1 we believe to be my Great Grandfather Thomas
Hamilton Blount. At the time of his death in the Spring of 1895,
he was living with his son James R. Blount in Clearwater.
James and Susanna had three sons:
James Edward died May 26, 1954 in Englewood, Florida
Thomas Key died May 21, 1964 in Englewood, Florida
Harry Roulhac die~ September 17, 1973 in Venice, Florida
Enclosed is a copy of Certification of Birth and Death Notice
on my father Harry Roulhac Blount. Also enclosed is a copy of
my Baptism showing that I am his daughter.
The death notice of my father's, names my Mother Jessica as a
survivor at the time of his death. She died October 3, 1982.
If possible, I would like to be named as the current owner of
spaces 1, 2, 3, 4 and 12 in si, Lot 14 Blk l....so that they may
be used by myself and heirs in the future.

Surviving are a daughter. Mrs. Jean
Thornton of Englewood; a sister. Mrs
Jack Taylor of Atlanta, and two grand-
children.
Funeral. held in Englewood, Lemon
Bay Funeral Home of Englewood.
