Thank you for your letter regarding your property, spaces 2 & 3, Lot 47, Block 12
of Cl eartwater Cemetery,
The City of Clearwater Code of Ordinances Sec, 29,02 (f) states "No owner of a
cemetery space shall convey, transfer or assi gn the space or any ri ghts therei n to a
person other than the city without the written consent of the city, The form of the
instrument of such conveyance, transfer or assignment shall be provided by, or approved
by, the Ci ty Cl erk and sha 11 be recorded in the pub 1 i c records fo 11 owi ng endorsement
indicating consent by the city, A request for consent to a transfer of ownership shall
be accompanied by the transfer fee as provided herein and the recording fee," Please
be advised that our Code allows us to repurchase the spaces at the original price less
the transfer charge and recording fee, Your original purchase price was $73,00, We
woul d therefore, be able to offer to repurchase space 2. Lot 47, Block 12 for $34.00,
Cemetery property currently sells for $500,00 per space, You may wish to
advertise the sale in a local newspaper and sell the property outright, In order for
the sale (or transfer) of the single, unused space to be binding, we will need the
original deed returned, We would need a Cemetery Deed and Consent to Conveyance (which
we would provide upon your request)executedand returned to us along with the transfer
fee of $25.00 and recording fee of $28,00 ($14.00 for single space to new owner and
$14,00 for new deed covering the used space back to you),

Dear Sir or Madam,
In looking through some papers recently, I care across a cemetary
deed for two spaces in the Clearwater Cemetary. These were pur-
chased in 1964 when my first husband, George S. Moore, Sr. passed
on. The spaces are identified as spaces B~andf' Lot 47, Block 12
as recorded in Plat Book 50, Page 33 Publi~ Records of Pinellas
County, Florida. Space C is still unused.
In as much as I remarried and have been living in New Jersey for
the last fifteen years and do not anticipate returning to Florida,
I feel I will have no use for Space C. I would like to sell the
space back to the City of Clearwater or to whomever currently owns
the cemetary. I hope you will be able to give me some guidance in
accomplishing this task.
