AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, REL4,TING TO SALARY INCREASES FOR THE
MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS; AMENDING 13ECTION
2.2631 LEARW,TER CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Commission salaries as established n Section 2.263 Clearwater
Code of Ordinance, stave r�ct been increased since 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission salaries are currently$12,060 for the Mayor and
$10,000 for the otnirnission; and
VVHERE.AS, Section 2.44 of the City Chatter provides that an ordinance must) be
passed approving salary increases at least six mo nths prior to an election; now,
therefore;'

Section 1. That Section 2.263 (1) Clearwater Dade of Ordinances be amended
to read its follows:
Sec. 2.263« Compensation and expenses of mayor-commis o erand
commissioners

Section 22. This ordinance shall take effect on April 4, 1996.
