PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, ;adopted Ordinance
No. 3479-84, which emended Ordinance -tic. 3091-83, regulating solicitation for
charitable purposes in the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has entered into a Settlement Agreement with
the Church of �>ciento cgy Flag Ship Organization and the Americans ll�rtited for
Separation of Church and State involving litigation concerning said',ordinances; and
WHEREAS,: as a`part of a settlement agreement in the above referenced cases,
the City ,of Clearwater has agreed to repeal in its entirety Ordinance No. 3479-34; now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED UY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER, 'FLORIDA
Section= 1, That Ordinance No. 3479-34 as codified in Chapter 23, Article III,.
Sections 23.61 - 23.90, Solicitations for Charitable Purposes is hereby repealed.

Section 22. This ordinance,shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
