The Ordinance requires replacements of the total amount of caliper inches removed on an inch for inch basis. If the owner chooses not to replace the inches on site, the deficit inches shall be met by paying $42.00 per inch to the city's tree bank. The Ordinance does not allow for crediting the deficit by utilizing the required landscape trees. The Tree Ordinance requires a developer to barricade trees, perform root pruning, perform proper pruning and retain the services of a tree care professional to assist with an on site tree preservation plan. Consequently no credit is provided for these requirements. The following calculations represent the deficits and credits for your site.
