Kenton, Ass't Dir., Planning & Urban Dev.,, Env, Joseph McFate, Alan Mayberry,-Edward Bethel, Dir.,, Building ,Action Order dated JdnuM 22, 1986 February 3, 1986 On March 8, 1985, a .landscape plan was approved by this Office which met the minimum specifications,of the parking lot beautification re- quirements of the :former zoning code, subsequent to the construction activities, the landscaping WdS installed per the plan. "Unfortunately the tenants failed to adequately maintain the land- scaping beyond the initial installation. As a result, approximately 40 % of the original plant material failed to survive. Their reason- ing for the failure-was due to drought :conditions and a ban by .SWFWMD on irrigation. The timing was such that this reasoning prevails., although they were obviously not aware that newly = installed landscap- ing falls under different regulations than established lawns and landscapes. On January 31, 1986, the tenants were advised in person that they are technically in violation of 'City Code. They have agreed to replace all expired, material.within thirty days. They were advised that if they fail to do -so, that a written warning will be issued, followed, -if necessary, by a notice to appear before the Municipal Code Enforcement Board. An inspection will-be made on February 28, 1986 to ensure compliance. MK:vw M`4 I vn- i ecv i ti 57 i. L &f A` UZ 7-7 71, T ri. I vn- i ecv i ti 57 i. L &f A` UZ I vn- i ecv i 57 i.
