Ms. Kohl,
Per our phone conversation yesterday regarding the burial location of Henry Scherer, I was not able to find the name
spelled Scherer. I did however,find a burial by the name of Henry Scharrer who's buried in Block 4, Lot 4,Space 6, born
in 1850 and passed away in 1935. Could this be the person you're looking for?
I also found the name Catherine Scharrer and she's buried in Block 4, Lot 4,Space 7. These two burial were full burials.
I have also attached a copy of the Clearwater Municipal Cemetery map. The circled number is the Block and the number
in the square is the Lot. Spaces are not shown on the map.
Please advise of the correct spelling of the last name and I will make the change in our files and in our system. If you
have any other questions, please give me a call.

That is the name, I am sorry about the wrong spelling. thank you so very much for your
excellent help. and this for your info: the gentleman is the father of Myrtle Scharrer Betz,
who wrote the book "yesteryear I lived in paradise", about the time when her father
homesteaded on Caladesi Island, and she went to school in Dunedin every day by boat! ! ! ! And
all the other things that happened to them.
Maybe you'd be interested reading it. I understand that Myrtle Ave was named after her. Her
granddaughter still lives in the area: Terry Fortner, I believe is her name. She researches
and promotes the book.
Aren't you glad you asked?
Anyhow, once more: thanks a thousand times for your help. I am an ever grateful resident of
Clearwater.
