F.oR VALUE RECEIVED, THE CITY .oF CLEARWATER, a municipal
corporation, promises to pay to the order of BETSY R. ,ROGE.RS, at
such place or places as the payee may from time to time designate,
the principal sum of .oNE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE TH.oUSAND DOLLARS
($135,000.00) with interest thereon at four (4%) percent per
annumdfrom date on the whole amount of said principal sum. remaining
unpaid from time to time, payable as follows:
$13,500.00 on the 1st day ,of November, 1961;
13,500.00 on the 1st day of November, 1962~ and
13,500.00 on the 1st day of each and every November
thereafter until the entire principal sum
has been paid in full.
In addition to the principal payments as above
outlined, interest ,shall be paid semi-annually
beginning May 1, 1961, until the entire principal
and interest has been paid in full.
All or any part of the principal of this obligation
may be prepaid without penalty and with interest to date of payment
only on any regular interest payment date after January I, 1961.
This note is secured by a mortgage of even dCite, and
the same is incorporated by reference herein.
If any of the said sums of money herein referred to be
not prom,pt1y and fully paid within thirty (30) days next after the
same seVerally becam~ due and payable, the entire unpaid balance
then due on this note shall become due and payable forthwith or
thereafter at the option of the payee, her heirs or assigns, as
fully and completely as if the said aggregate sum of $135,000.00
was originally stipulated to be paid on such day, anything in this
note to the contrar,ynotwithstanding.
Now should it become necessary to collect this note
through an attorney, The City of Clearwater hereby agrees to pay
costs of such collection, including a reasonable attorney's fee.
