AMENDMENT TO PROTECTIVE COVENANTS
OF THE
CLEARWATER INDUSTRIAL PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, has
heretofore recorded in O. R. Book 115, Page 347, and
O..R.Book 1-69,PageS42, certain prt:>t~ctive- c'Ovenan.ts
and amendments thereto of the Clearwater Industrial Park
covering the following described property located in
Pinellas County, Florida:
All of Clearwater Industrial Park as
filed in Plat Book 44, Page 46, Public
Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
and,
WHEREAS, said City desires to convey Lot 10 of
the said Clearwater Industrial Park to Thad Gordon, who pro-
poses to build and lease a building thereonto the United
States Army Reserve for use as an Armory, but existing coven-
ants prohibit such use of said premises; and,
WHEREAS, all of the remaining owners of lots in the
said Clearwater Industrial Park have by separate instruments
filed herewith agreed that Lot 10 may be conveyed by the said
City not subject to the existing use restrictions but so as
to enable the use of Lot 10 for an Armory and incidental uses
thereof; and,
WHEREAS, said City wishes to amend said protective
covenants to accomplish the above purposes as hereinafter set
out;
NOW, THEREFORE, said City hereby amends the aforesaid
protective covenants as follows:
Section A-l of Clause III, General Restrictions, is
amended to read as follows:
"The premises shall not, at any time, during the

period of fifty (SO) years from July 1, 1956,
be used for any other thah manufacturing, in-
dustrial or storage purposes, except Lot 10
of the Clearwater Industrial Park may be used
as a site for an armory and such armory when
constructed may be used for drills, related
exercises, class room studies, storage for arms
andQther equipment, including certain types of

an armory, provided that should Lot 10 cease
being used as an armory for the purposes afore-
said, then and in that event it shall not be used
for any purpose or use other than manufacturing,
industrial or storage.~
nNor shall premises or any part thereof, at any
time during said period, be used for the erect-
ion or maintenance thereon of any dwelling,
stores, hotels, saloons or boarding houses, and
that there shall not be sold or disposed of at
retail upon said premises or any part thereof,
at any time during the period aforesaid, any
spirituous, malt or other intoxicating liquor
of any kind or description.n~
All other terms and conditions of said protective
covenants except as herein amended are ratified and con-
firmed. ~.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Clearwater, Florida,
by its duly constituted authorities, has caused this instru-

and deed as such officers thereunto duly authorized and
that the official seal of said municipal corporation is
duly affixed thereto, and the said conveyance is the act
and deed of said corporation.
