trying to assist him. For reference I enclose copies of your

I ask your assistance as to the name and address of the local
authorities who license funeral directors, and who license
cemeteries. I would also ask that you send me the address of
Clearwater Cemetery, and disclose the ownership (corporation,
partnership, proprietorship) and the principal to contact there.
I had contacted a local attorney in Clearwater who would attempt
to handle the matter for several hundred dollars, prepaid, non-
contingent. Since Mr. Rolsted is a Senior Citizen of very modest
means, he undoubtedly would qualify for Legal Assistance. Would
you kindly also give the name, address and phone of the Clearwater
Legal Asistance office?
My service to Mr. Rolsted is without charge, but there may be
little more I can do from Chicago.

Dear Mr. Rolsted:
Thank you for providing us the copy of the deed we requested.
There seems to be a discrepancy involved in the transaction that
oeeured between you and Mrs. Hart. According to the information you
provided us you purchased all of lots 166 and 187. Each lot contains four
(4) burial spaces. All four spaces in lot 166 and two spaces in lot 187
have been used. Of the six burials, only one (in lot 166) took place
after your purchase in 1974. The two spaces remaining are the second and
fourth spaces in lot 187.
The original purchase of the lots by Capt. R. B. Hart oeeured in
1937. The price paid then was $160.00 for both lots or $20.00 per space.
It appears that there were several transactions over the years concerning
different spaces in these lots to which the City of Clearwater was not a
party.
I am sorry, but under the circumstances the City would not be able to
repurchase these lots.
