Re: Clearwater Municipal Cemetery Block 3, Lot 19
Dear Mrs. Hoechstetter:
It was recently determined that the Clearwater Municipal Cemetery experienced storm
damage from strong winds and fallen trees. Moss Feaster funeral home provided the City
with your name, as daughter of Helene Woods Daniel, for contact purposes.
The headstones, concrete covers, and the Daniel family marker were damaged and are in
need of repair. City staff is currently conducting further examinations of the cemetery
site. The City has temporarily secured the area to allow you time to make arrangements
for repair.
Please make the necessary arrangements at your earliest convenience. Should you need
to discuss the extent of the need for repair or have other questions, please contact me
directly at 727-562-4017. I will be glad to provide you with whatever information you
require for your repair efforts.

Specific damage is as follows: Block 3 lot 19 Space 5- Robert Daniel 1866-1919 He had a concrete and brick top that
covered the space which was crushed in. His headstone is O.K. but was knocked off the concrete brick top.
Large Family headstone for the lot is red granite it measures 35"x 28" 8" thick slab was knocked over but looks O.K. from
side that is showing. Would need standing back up.
Space 8- Robert Daniel 1905-1970- tree branch went into space and broke top of vault.
Space 8 & 9 - double red granite headstone for Robert Daniel and Helene Woods Daniel measures 28"x38" - 8" thick
slab. It was broke in half by tree.

Was the owner contacted? I received a call today from Keith Estes (446-7005) who was telling me about the tree that
had fallen and the grave that had been opened. He said there had been an odor earlier and someone had put some
dirt on the grave. Just wanted to know the current status. Mr. Estes said he could be called upon for assistance ( I
believe he was referring to contacting the owners).
