DATE: August 8, 1988 An engineer representing Skycrest Baptist Church is requesting approval of a site plan amendment to permit the outdoor basketball court which was approved previously as a temporary feature to be a permanent improvement to the site. Also, the floor area for the family center structure has been decreased on the plan from 14,620 square feet to 8,809 square feet with a slight change in building configuration. The addition of the permanent outdoor basketball court has increased the impervious surface area, however, according to the applicant's engineer, this matter has been discussed with City Engineering and no changes to the existing detention area will be required. The plan amendment has been reviewed by members of the Development Review Committee. Those committee members who have no objection to the amendment have been asked to initial the approval list below. Richter, Development Code Adminis)t_rator COPIES: See List M SUBJECT: Minor Plan Change to the Final Site Plan for Skycrest Baptist { Church and Christian School Located at the Southeast Corner of Drew St.-and Belcher Road-_(PSP 85=36). DATE: September 4, 1987 On May 6, 1986, the City Clerk certified the site plan for the Skycrest Baptist Church and Christian School subject to conditions. On May 7, 1987, the City Clerk certified a modified plan for this project subject to the original conditions of approval. Changes to the plan included improvements within Drew Street in accordance with Pinellas County Highway Dept. permit requirements, revised improvements within Belcher Road and the addition of a utility building. The applicant now requests approval to modify the plan to construct a "temporary" asphalt outdoor multi-purpose court (for sports activities) which, according to the applicant, will be removed upon construction of the "Family Life Center". I recommend approval of the current requested modification as a minor plan change subject to the original conditions of approval placed on the plan originally certified on May 6, 1986 and the following: 1. There shall be no lights installed for the "temporary" multi-purpose court (in order to protect nearby residential property from a possible adverse affect of the court if used at night). 2. The "temporary" asphalt multi-purpose court shall be removed upon construction of the "Family Life Center". If you concur with this recommendation, please initial this memo, attach it to the copies of the revised plan and forward them to the City Clerk for certification and distribution.
