As you know, the above property was sold previously to Rudolph Miller
and Mary Miller, his wife, with a 1!everter clause which stipulated that if a
building permit was not obtained within 6 months, it would revert to the City.
Such reverter clause was a cloud on the title when Millers contracted to sell
the property to Marcus C. Johnson and Willie Pearl Johnson, his wife.
The City Commission, therefore, authorized that the amount previously paid
to the City by Miller be refunded to them in exchange for a Quit Claim Deed
from Mr. and Mrs. Miller to the City. Then a deed was executed by the
City to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson for the sale of the property for $5, 100.
The transaction was closed this date at the First National Bank and we attach
hereto the following:
Copy of Deed of Conveyance from the City to Marcus C.
Johnson, et ux, dated January 16, 1974.
Closing Statement re sale to Johnson prepared
by Pinellas County Title Company.
Closing Statement re reimbursement to Rudolph
Mille r, et ux.
Quit Clafm Deed from Miller to City is being recorded by Pinellas County
Title Company' and will be returned to your office very shortly.
