RESOLUTION
No. 64 - 97
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has found it necessary to
install and maintain, for the purpose of conducting natural gas not to exceed
a maximum operating pressure of 50 PSI, a line of 6-inch steel pipe across
the right of way and under the tracks of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad
Company at Clearwater, Florida, at a point 1, 099 feet southwardly measured
along the center line of said Railroadts main track from Mile Post RE-881;
and
WHEREAS, the Railroad has prepared an agreement to that effect
for formal execution by its corporate officers, as well as the proper
municipal officers of the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS. the Railroad has requested a Resolution be adopted by
said City, formally approving said agreement and authorizing the proper
City officials to execute same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS;
That the Mayor, together with the other appropriate municipal
officers of the City of Clearwater, are hereby authorized and empowered
to execute a certain agreement with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company,
bearing date of May 7, 1964, in connection with the installing and maintaining,
for the purpose of conducting natural gas not to exceed a maximum operating
pressure of 50 PSI, a line of 6-inch steel pipe across the right of way and
under the tracks of said Railroad at Clearwater, Florida, at a point 1, 099 feet
southwardly measured along the center line of said RailroadIs main track
from Mile Post RE-881.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of 3 e, 1964.

RESOLUTION
No. 64 - 98
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, that there are bills
pending before the Senate Banking and Currency Committee and the
House Banking and Currency Committee, said bills being designated as
H. R. 9751 and S. 2468; and
WHEREAS, said bill proposes the addition of a new title to the
National Housing Act which said new title would authorize FHA insured
loans to private developers to acquire and develop land for residential
and related uses in new subdivisions and for entirely new communities in
outlying areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater is opposed
to the addition of this new title to the National Housing Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1.. That the City of Clearwater officially records its protest to the
addition of this new title to the National Housing Act, said bill being
designated as HR 9751 and S 2468.
2. That certified copies of this Resolution be forwarded to Senator
Spessard Holland, Senator George A. Smatbers and Congressman William
C. Cramer.
