COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,

he application of the Eastern Aix Lines for ,?? •`.' •+ ? record in opposition tat permission
to use the Tampa International. Airport for serving St. Petersburg Clearwater,
Florida, instead of using the facilities at St. Petersburg - Clearwater Inter- 3y. ?a
national Airport.
2. The City bases its opposition to the change in service on the following
reasons but not limited strictly thereto: The facility is much closer to the
heart of Pinellas County than Tampa Internation Airport and a very large per-
centage of the air travel in this area emanates from Pinellas County, and
the public could best be served with the closer facility. In other words, the
area could better be served by an increase in service rather than a decrease
in service, as it is proposed in the application. That the Civil Aeronautics
Board please consider this Resolution as memoranda in opposition to the afore-
mentioned application.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Civil.
Aeronautics Board in Washington, D. C., Eastern Air Lines and Board of
