2. That the Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas County
and the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, together
with the Mayor and the official governing board of the City of Tampa, are
hereby respectfully requested to join the City of Clearwater in this action.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the
State Road Department of the State of Florida, the Board of County Com-
missioners of Pinellas County, Florida, the Board of County Commissioners
of Hillsborough County, Florida, and the City of Tampa, Florida.

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,
has received complaints concerning the lack of lighting on Courtney Campbell
Causeway; and
WHEREAS, the lighting on the Howard Frankland Bridge and Gandy
Bridge is excellent; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the people of
the City ofClearwater, the City of Tampa and the State of Florida that the
said Courtney Campbell Causeway be lighted from end to end;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater respectfully
requests that the State Road Department of the State of Florida investigate
the feasibility of lighting Courtney Campbell Causeway across Tampa Bay
similarily to the manner in which Gandy Bridge and Howard Frankland
