?_•. ?? WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida, z'
has had many requests to install pedestrian actuated walk signals at several
locations within the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, several of the locations involve State Highways, to wit: Y ~1 i`t;v;v
the intersection of Myrtle Avenue (State Road ##697) and Seminole Street, on
Drew Street State Road ##590 near the intersection of Corona Avenue, and
at certain unspecified crossings on Gulf to Bay Boulevard. (State Road #60)

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is desirous of having the State Road
Department investigate the feasibility of the proposed projects and if found
warranted by the State Road Department, the City will take steps to purchase,
install and maintain the recommended facility;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,

IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
rr FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater respectfully
requests that the State Road Department of the State of Florida investigate the
feasibility and determine the need for pedestrian actuated walk signals at the
intersection of Myrtle Avenue (State Road 0697) and Seminole Street, on Drew
Street (State Road #590) near the intersection of Corona Avenue and at certain
unspecified crossings on Gulf to Bay Boulevard (State Road $60) within the
city limits.
2. If, after investigation the signals are found to be warranted at the
above locations, the City of Clearwater hereby assures the State Road Department
that steps to purchase, install and maintain the recommended facility will
be taken.
