Ed C. Wright, seeing the need for additional park
areas, has generously given to the City of Clearwater a tract of land for
park purposes valued in excess of $150, 000; and
WHEREAS, the said Ed C. Wright is a pioneer resident of the
County of Pinellas and has contributed greatly to the growth of this area;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater is appreciative of this munificent

gift and desires to dedicate this tract of land for public park and recreational
purposes to honor Ed C. Wright by naming the same for him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the following described property is hereby dedicated as
a public park and for recreational purposes for the use and benefit of the
citizens of the City of Clearwater, Florida:
Beginning 40 feet South of Northeast Corner of the
Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section
22, Township 29 South, Range 15 East, run West 465
feet, South 880 feet, West 195 feet, South 260 feet,
West 660 feet, South 140 feet, East 1320 feet, North
1280 feet to Point of Beginning, said parcel containing
approximately eighteen (18) acres.
2. That said park is hereby designated and named "ED C. WRIGHT
PARK" and shall henceforth be known and referred to by that name.
3. That a duplicate original of this Resolution shall be delivered to
the said Ed C. Wright.
