WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, has established
an appropriate medal to be awarded by it to persans who have rendered
outstanding service to the City and
WHZREAS, Commissioner Amos Smith sponsored the visit of
the Colan*lan swimming team to this City and thereby aided in cementing
Latin American relations, not only with the City of Clearwater and the
State cf Florida. but with the United States of America= and
W MMAS, it is desired to recognise the outstanding public

: service and unselfish contribution of his time and energy to this

+r° F worthwhile cause by authorising the award to him of the City of
Clearwater medall
NOW, THEREFORE, SS IT RESOLVED ST THE
CITY COON OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSE?IdHLED, AS FOLLOWS:
• 1. That the City of Clearwater, Florida, officially reco'gaises
and eapresses its appreciation to Commissioner Amos Smith for his
r• outstanding, unselfish public service in sponsoring the visit of the
Colombian swimudng team to this City.
2. That the City of Clearwater medal is hereby awarded to
Amos Smith for bio service as aforesaid and the same shall be
presented to him publicly at the earliest opportunity.
S. That a duplicate original of this Resolution be delivered
to said Amos Smith,
