RESOLUTION
No. 62 - 45
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, by Florida law, in the irtarest
of saving taxpayers' money by avoiding duplication of services, has its
assessment roils of real property prepared by the Tax Assessor of
Pinellas County; and
WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor of Pinellas County has seen fit to
employ the services of Warren Hunnicutt and Associates, Appraisers,
to appraise all of the real property in Pinellas County, including that found
within the City limits of the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Commissioners of the City of
Clearwater, since the publication of the proposed valuations, have had
many complaints called to their attention, both personally and through the
press, and the validity of said complaints due to their number has not been
ascertained;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS.
1. That the Tax Assessor of Pinellas County, a duly qualified and
elected public official, be respectfully requested to carefully study and
analyze the valuations furnished by the appraisers before accepting and,
using the same.
2. That the said valuations be carefully analyzed from the standpoint
of the effect that the said valuations would have, if used, upon the economic
climate of Pinellas County, both from the standpoint of location of new
industries in this area and the sale and resale of real estate located in
Pinellas County and specifically the City of Clearwater.
3. That the Tax Assessor be respectfully requested to consider
each and every complaint of the citizens of the City of Clearwater and
where unequality is found to equalize the same.

4. That the Tax Assessor be respectfully requested to furnish the

`•' for the City of Clearwater at the earliest possible moment, keeping in mind
that the Cityts millage is required by law to be sot on or before Juno 30 of
each year and that the now fiscal year commences July 1, 1962,
