RESOLUTION
No. 62 - 34
WHEREAS, the members of the City Commission of the City of
Clearwater are desirous of doing everything in their power to promote
the safety and welfare'' of the citizens of this community; and
WHEREAS, the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company and the
Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company each maintain their own separate
tracks through the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, the Commission is of the opinion that the consolidation
of these tracks by the two railroad companies through the City of Clearwater
would promote the safety and welfare of the general public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the Atlantic Coast Lune Railroad Company and the Seaboard
Air Line Railroad Company be requested to consolidate their tracks through
the City of Clearwater.
2, That a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the
Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, J. L. Kennedy, Superintendent,
Ocala, Florida, and to the Seaboard Air Line Railroad Company, B. C.
High, Superintendent, Florida Avenue and Whiting Street, Tampa,
Florida.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March, 1962.
