Bayfront drive and approach to the new East Bridge presently being
constructed on Memorial Causeway, connecting the mainland and
Clearwater Beach; and
'%I WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater presently owns and holds
record title to certain uplands and submerged lands which will be
required to be used in connection with the completion of said project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater presently has under contract
to purchase certain additional uplands and the submerged lands described
in Internal Improvement Fund Deed No. 17, 496, as recorded in Deed
{ Book 401, Page 439, of the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida,
which will also be used in connection with the completion of said project;
and
WHEREAS, due to certain errors in the wording of the descriptions
contained in Internal Improvement Fund Deeds No. 17, 496 and 17, 500,
certain questions have arisen; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Clearwater to do whatever
is necessary to correct these errors so that said project can be properly
completed; and

WHEREAS, it appears that the proper procedure to correct any
such errors would be to obtain from the Trustees of the Internal Improve-
mans Fund of the State of Florida, appropriate conveyances to the City

of Clearwater, containing the proper descriptions of said properties; and

affected by the granting of such conveyances;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
t IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED AS
: FOLLOWS.
1. The City of Clearwater officially requests that the Trustees
of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida convey to the
City of Clearwater, the following described parcels of property, which

will be used by the City of Clearwater in completing the proposed extension
of Drew Street and the creation of said above described Bayfront Drive;
Begin at the NE corner of Section 16, Township 29
South, Range 15 East; run thence S 88058'40" W
along the North line of said Section 16, 2. 032. 36
feet M. O. L. to the corner of an existing seawall;
thence S 0001611711 E along said existing seawall
a distance of 50 feet for P. O. B. ; thence S 88058'40"
W adistance of 604. 00 feet; thence S 29030' W.
193.4 feet; thence S 70W, 15 feet; thence N 88058'4011 E,
648 feet M. O. L. to a point on the mean high water
mark of Clearwater Bay; thence Northerly along
said mean high water mark to P. O. B.
Tract 14. Beginning at the Northwest corner of
Lot 2 of Jefford's and Smoyer's Subdivision of
Clearwater, Florida, thence West 500 feet to the
East edge of the channel of Clearwater Bay; thence
Southwesterly along the East edge of said channel
to a point 500 feet West of the Southwest corner of
Lot 2; thence East 500 feet to the high water mark
on the East shore of Clearwater Bay at the Southwest
corner of Lot 2, thence Northeasterly along said
high water mark to the Northwest corner of said Lot
2, the point of beginning first above described;
Containing 1.0 acre, more or less, and lying and

2. All filling work which will be necessary to complete said
project will be done within the limits of the approved and established
bulkhead line for the area and all property included in the above described
parcels and lying outside of the approved bulkhead line will be re-conveyed
by the City to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement fund after the
completion of said project.
2. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be furnished forth-
with to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of
Florida, Tallahassee, Florida, which said certified copy shall constitute
an official request by the City of Clearwater to said Trustees for the
conveyance to it of the herein described parcels of real property.
