WHEREAS, St. John's Primitive Baptist Church and Frances
Howard, joined by her husband, Jeff Howard, record owners of the land
abutting Booker Street as shown on the Plat of Palm Park, Hillsborough
Plat Book 4, Page 86, have requested the City Commission to vacate
the said Booker Street since it has never at any time been used by the
public and has for many years been actually the site of a dwelling
house; and
WHEREAS, it has been duly verified by City officials that said
street has not been developed and used by the City or the general public
and serves no useful purpose, and it is deemed to be to the best interest
and advantage of the City and the general public that the same be vacated,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER FLORIDA
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED AS
FOLLOWS:
That said Booker Street, sometimes known as Harvey Street, as
shown on the Plat of Palm Park, Hillsborough Plat Book 4, Page 86, which
said street lies between Palmetto Street on the South and Metto Street on
. the North immediately West of Lot 7 of i, A. Masons Subdivision of Palm
Park Addition to Clearwater, Florida, be, and the same is hereby vacated,
closed and released, and the City of Clearwater hereby quit claims and
releases all of its right, title and interest thereto to the persons, firms
or corporations entitled thereto by law, as abutting lot owners.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this Znd day of Ocyober, A. D. 1961.
