RESOLUTION NAMING SID LICKTON
FIELD

WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has developed a baseball
facility for the youth of the City of Clearwater and certain property
has been set aside for this use; and
WHEREAS, the City has been aided tremendously in the
development of the Little League Baseball Program by certain of
its citizens, among whom is Sid Lickton who has given unstintly of
his time in the promotion of this activity since its inception in the
City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to dedicate the said area to honor one
of the developers of this program by naming the same for him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Little League Baseball facility on the West side of
the Clearwater Air' Park is hereby designated and named "SID LICKTON
FIELD" and shall henceforth be known and referred to by that name.
2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of Tune, A. D. 1961.
