RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE DISC
TINGUISHED SERVICE OF SIDNEY
LICKTON TO THE YOUTH OF THE
CITY OF CLEARWATER.
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater, Florida, has established
an appropriate medal to be awarded by it to persons who have rendered }
outstanding services to the City; and '; f=
WHEREAS, Sidney Lickton has rendered outstanding public
service to the youth of the City of Clearwater by his outstanding work
in the development of the Little League Baseball Program in the City
of Clearwater, having be en one of the original promoters of the cause
and having served as a coach for one of the teams since the inception
of the program in the City of Clearwater; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to recognize the outstanding public'
service and unselfish contribution of his time and energy to the youth
of the City of Clearwater by authorizing the award to him of the City
of Clearwater medal;,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE .
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater, Florida, officially recognizes
and expresses its appreciation to Sidney Lickton for his outstanding,
unselfish public service to the youth of the City of Clearwater and his
successful promotion of the Little League Baseball. Program in this
City.
2. That the City of Clearwater medal is hereby awarded to
Sidney Lickton for his aer-'ice as aforesaid and the same shall be
presented to kam publicly at the earliest opportunity.
3. That a duplicate original of-this Resolution shall be delivered
to said Sidney Lickton.
