RESOLUTION
No. 61 - 49
. 'WHEREAS, Pinellas County, Florida, a political subdivision of
the State of Florida, acting by and through its Board of County Commissioners,
has requested the City of Clearwater, Florida, to vacate certain portions of
Palm Avenue and Markley Street in order to facilitate the construction of
a new County Courthouse facility; and
WHEREAS, since it is the desire of the City and to the best interest
of the City and to the best interest of the general public that the site of the
County Courthouse be not changed, the City of Clearwater entered into an
Agreement with Pinellas County, Florida, dated June 6, 1960, agreeing
to vacate certain portions of said Palm Avenue and Markley Street; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interest and advantage of
the City and the general public that the same be vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the following described portions of Palm Avenue and
Markley Street:
Palm Avenue from the North right of way line of the proposed
Chestnut Street extension Northward to the South right of way
