WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has made arrangements to
acquire for the use of its citizens as a public park, certain property as
hereinafter described; and,
WHEREAS, the late Ross B. Norton was for many years an
outstanding civic leader and resident of the City of Clearwater, whose
services to the City included, among many other things, a long-time
effort to secure a public park for the City in the general area in which
said property is located; and,
WHEREAS, it is desired to dedicate said area for public park
and recreational purposes and to honor the memory of Ross B. Norton
by naming the same for him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER.
FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY
ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the following described property is hereby dedicated
as a public park and for recreational purposes for the use and benefit
of the citizens of the City of Clearwater:
The North 1/2 of Northwest 1/4 of Southwest
1/4 of Section 22, Township 29 South, Range
15 East, Pinellas County, Florida, LESS AND
EXCEPT the following: Begin at the Southeast
corner of the above described property, thence
North along said property line 150 feet, thence
West 150 feet, thence South 150 feet, thence
East 150 feet to the point of beginning.
2. That said park is hereby designated and named the "ROSS
B. NORTON PAR.W1, and shall henceforth be known and referred to by
that name.

Trustee under and by virtue of a Construction Trust Fund Agreement,
dated October 21, 1959, which Construction Trust Fund is derived
from proceeds of the sale of Utility Tax Improvement Certificates,
Series of 1959 ; and,
WHEREAS, said Bank has submitted a bill in the amount of
