WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater entered into a cer-
tain contract for the sale of property, which said contract
was dated January 25, 1960, wherein ?Maas Brothers, Inc. a cor-
poration organized and existing under the laws of the Stato
of Florida, with its office and principal place of businoss at
Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida, agreed to purchase certain
City-owned property with frontage on Osceola Avenue and Cleve-
land Street in the City of Clearwater, Florida; and
IJFiEP.E&S, according to the terms of said contract the
City of Clearwater was to enter into certain Easements concern-
ing property in the vicinity owned by the City of Clearwater,
and affecting Maas Brothers, Inc. as purchaser, and the Florida
Power Corporation, as well as the General Telephone Company; and
;{:•; t Z7HEREAS, in order to replat the property various
easements affecting the same had to be negotiated with Florida
Power Corporation, and the same has now been approved by said
corporation, releasing same, in return for the execution by
City of Clearwater of the easement hereinabove referred to;
and
WHEREAS, said transaction is now ready for closing,
and the City of Clearwater does now intend to consummate the
t;r:t terms of said contract by entering into the certain easement
agreements contemplated in said agreement;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
"'Trr COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS

Yb City of Clearwater and Florida Power Corporation, a Florida
corporation dated May 31 1960, be and the same is hereby
ratified and approved, and the appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized and directed to execute same.
3. That the Cancellation of Easements, between the
City of Clearwater and Florida Power Corporation, dated June
6, 1960, covering the easements recorded in Deed Boob: 1505,
Page 259, and in 0. R. Book 235, at Page 81 of the Public Re-
cords of Pinellas County, Florida, be, and the same is hereby
ratified and approved, and the appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized and directed to execute same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of June, A.D., 1960.
