WHEREAS, natural gas has come to Clearwater and
it is necessary that a system of rates and a statement
of policy be adopted; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 828 empowers the City Com-
mission to fix gas rates by resolution; and,
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to fix rates
for natural gas users and customers of the City of Clear-
water; and,
WHEREAS, the Utilities Department of the City of
Clearwater has recommended certain rates which should be
`sry. adopted, as well as certain matters of policy which should
be approved for the protection of the City of Clearwater
and its customers;
NMI THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CObMS-
SION OF THE CITY OF CLEMfATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION
DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED;
1. That the rates to be charged for natural gas,
as well as service charges, purchaseigas cost adjustment and
new services, are hereby adopted in accordance with Schedule
A, general service rate, Schedule B, air conditioning rate,
and purchasedgas cost adjustment, and Schedule C, new services,
the same being hereby attached and by reference made a part
of this Resolution as though set out in hoc verba.
2. The City Commission hereby reserves unto itself
the right to establish and fix industrial gas rates for large
users such as industrial plants, depending upon the volume and
character of service in such cases.
3. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its passage.
